Does anyone know if standard Kreg screws are suitable for pressure treated lumber or if I need to use stainless or their "blue-kote" screws?

Mark, I would use stainless steel screws. The regular Kreg screws are zinc plated and the "blue-kote" screws do not say they are for pressure treated lumber, so they likely not made for that use. Today's pressure treated lumber is know as AQC or ACQ lumber and is treated with Alkaline Copper Quat. As you have heard ACQ is pretty corrosive stuff. Fasteners should be SS or hot dipped galvanized.

Try McFeely's SS pocket screws.

Kreg finally got back to me. They now offer stainless though I defy you to find them in a store or on their web site. They suggest stainless in ACQ.
