it appears that the track is attached to the hinge at each end using a bolt and t-slot nut, slightly different than the MFT, but this is probably because it's attached at both ends. To use the Festool track, the t-slot nut would have to be a snug fit in the track so there is no side-to-side play, this to keep the track square to the hinges and so to the table. IMO I think that the movable guide stops may be a better way to set the cut size than an arm that attaches to the outer groove of the track.
In another thread about the Kreg table, Shane said the ToolNut guys thought the Festool rail could be installed on the Kreg table without too much trouble. The saws though are not interchangeable in any sense.
