Many of you venture in various depths into the realm of finishing, with what seems to be a particular proclivity toward hvlp.

I thought you would find it interesting to note that Kremlin and Apollo have recently formed a partnership through which Apollo is supplying hvlp turbine units to Kremlin under a shared badge. I had the opportunity to release this story just yesterday:

I find this to be of particular interest because these are both sprayer manufacturers that I consider to be of parallel engineering and general quality of use to Festool.

These are esoteric tools that appeal mostly to serious finishers who invest at that level of finishing equipment, but it is generally a cool concept that might be interesting to be aware of, especially when it is so rare these days to see tool manufacturers make corporate alignments that are not somehow compromised. I don't see any compromise on this one and look forward to following this joint venture.

Maybe Binks will buy Fuji. 3M owns Accuspray...those 10 pro guns are nice.

Darn, Scott!  I thought this thread was about the re-emergence of the Soviet Union and our old space program.  No.  It's just a story about a couple of fancy paint brush manufacturers.  [tongue]

Don't worry, you invitation to join the Stargate program is in the mail.

So how do these Apollo systems compare to the likes of Fuji Q4?

I have not used the Fuji system, but it is a 4 stage, while the Apollo is a 5 stage turbine. This makes it more capable of moving higher viscosity products which could be an important factor.

Scott, that sounds wicked cool and impressive. You gotta love high end stuff, Eric
