Is there a reason why the domino's used in combination with KV-SYS D8 are D8x36? I see in the instruction to cut 15mm and 28mm, so the default D8x40 should fit perfectly?
Also, I see all examples using the KV D8 on (outer) corners and KV-LR32 D8 on 'shelves'. Is there a reason not to use the KV D8 on 'shelves'?
Support strength is not an issue in my current project.

Sedge explains in the Festool Live episode for the DF 500 connector set; they're designed so that you can use them on 18mm center panels with a thru-mortise; 28mm into the edge of the top/bottom plus 18mm/2 = 9mm distance through the center panel = 37mm.  The 8x36 allows you to use one on each side with a small gap in the middle.

Cued up to where he talks about it in the video (the whole thing is worth watching if you haven't already):

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll use the normal D8x40 for corner connections!
Watching the whole video right now.
