Laguna Dust Separator

I am in the market.....how much are they running for. I could find that info on Laguna's site.

Has anyone tried one of these ? It would work much better in my shop that a Dust Deputy.

The only review I could find said it didn't work as well at separating fines as the DD, however.

Thanks, Rick. I just ordered one. I was going to build a wooden box for my current plastic top from the current Oneida 5 gallon bucket model, but this just looks better made and will fit under my MFT table, because it is 25" high. (Just spoke with product support.) I am just assuming that Laguna got this one right, since everything they do is well done. Use product code 12013 when ordering from Woodcraft.  If you buy it from Amazon, Woodcraft is the seller anyway.
I'll post a quick review next week, unless someone here does before me.

Thanks, Rick.
Who's Rick ?

It does look nice.  I like that there's not the big protrusion on top like with the DD, and I like the clear window, and the casters.  In Canada it's only about $40 more than the plain (not Ultimate) dust deputy, and that's with no caster set or bin.

I'd be interested in seeing a review, as the only one I saw did say that it seemed several times worse at filtering fines than a Dust Deputy (i.e., much more stuff got into the shop vac bin and filters).

would this be better with the anti-static than other options?  I have filled my CT26 2 times since July and would like a more appropriate option for my home shop, this looks nice, but I want to make sure I avoid any static issues if i can.  Don't know too much in that arena... I have a CT26 with the green hose and could/would pick up additional ones to make this work.

Thanks for the advise.

Cheers

Yes, meant to write Chris...no sleep, no coffee at the time...still no sleep, but plenty of coffee.
This uni should be excellent for dealing with static issues. Oneida does now make ten gallon steel drum cyclone...I just think that their products are too cheaply made for me.  The Laguna has better casters.  I won't know if it's better at dust collection until I use it.

I saw these two reviews while searching around... even from the first review, looks like a wise investment.

The first review is the one I saw... I missed the second one. Thanks for the link.

Just an update for those interested in the Laguna- Woodcraft has it on sale for 62.50 until December 26th.  That's a good price for just the steel drum alone...
