Any one else got/ tried one of these yet?
We have a standard lamello biscuiter a domino and a zeta machine and they all get used in similar quantities.
The clamex hex head type connectors are useful but the really useful connector is the tenso plates. Snapping together with 150n and having a retention force of 250n they are excellent for just about anything from holding cornice into place and holding mitres together whilst drying. If this is a machine your considering but can't yet justify, I can fully recommend it.
Awkward jobs to clamp and large projects that need to be knock down are prime uses for these connectors

The picture below shows one of the prime uses for the tenso connectors. Biscuit as normal with the zeta apply glue and snap together, leave for an hour for glue to dry no clamps!

I keep checking the post daily...
Looking more forward to the Clampx, and maybe Divario.

I can see that I will not have any problems with my green hose.

No they have finally realised most professional shops are using festool vacs, it fits straight in nice and snug like into a festool tool. You will not be disappointed with your purchase we've even used it to simply clamp lippings into boards when it's a long length which would require tons of clamps.
It is a seriously good machine which you'll find at the expense of connectors you'll keep using and using.

A word of advice, your hogging out 8mm rather than 4mm, take your time plunging, lamello jointers have rubberised pads on the face of the machine which grip the work well and with an extractor attached it creates a vacuum actually holding the machine to the surface to be jointed so the machine won't slip easily as you plunge.

Chris

It also comes with a very easy to understand chart/ wheel selector print out which shows all joints possible and the setting to have your machine at for board thicknesses etc to avoid plunging through. A thoroughly well thought out machine

My fear with this is not having local supply of all of the cool connectors and having to order and wait .. or worse, stockpiling a load of stuff in anticipation.

I think I want one [sad]

We buy them in boxes of 300 still on our first box of clamex fittings after 14 months and our second box of tensos

I've seen some set deals .. for about $AU2K (plus shipping) you get the P2 + 80 x Clamex and 80 x Tenso.

I honestly think that if I went on a shopping trip to Germany I'd be washing the dishes of Europe for the rest of my life [embarassed]

I bought this machine a month or so ago and can attest to it's amazing usefulness. Just a brilliant piece of kit

They have a refugee program, and there are no boats involved.

I am interested in a Zimmerman apprentice program there.
How is your German and beer consumption skillenzeez?

Only ~3 years of high school German, but I have the highest beer drinking credentials.

Plus quite a number of years working with German software should count for something! [wink] ... and I'm driving my 8th German car too!

Definitely on the list.
Could have used it this September to add trim to an Ikea Billy bookshelf hack...

[member=13058]Kev[/member]: i know Germany's pretty cool on Syrian, Iraqi,Afghani aso. refugees, but i am doubtful about Aussies. Maybe you could claim Lamello-policicies as grounds for political asylum. But then, methinks, Lamello is Swiss. ;)

Good to hear you are busy. I imagine the cheap Canadian dollar is making it easy for the Americans to bring their production up here.

The past few years have been very good, this year in particular has been great. thus a few big ticket purchases. Hope your business is successful.
