I saw this in the new issue of Wood magazine. The laser might not appeal to many, but the LED lighting might (it doensn't mention it in the link, but it does in the magazine).
I haven't seen any. The Wood magizine (Cool new tools section) says that if you don't need to use the laser X, you can switch on the integrated bright white LED's for added visibility.
In one of the recent woodworking magazines, I saw an ad for a Sears professional router (used to be made by Bosch, not sure if this new one is) that has three lights in the base. That would be helpful for routing mortises or stopped cuts where it is difficult to see the line.
For the price and durablilty of LED all tools should have them! If they don't they are behind the times or missed something in design. As I am getting older this is becoming more important. I bought a bosch screwdriver and impact driver with a LED in it besides now having a flashlight on me when I carry the screwdriver I cannot tell you how useful it is and it has speed things up working in celings and dark places. Besides how hard is it to mount a led or two in a router base pointing towards the bit.
Woodenfish I just picked up a Drummel (at Lowe's) LED light with magnifier. I'm planning on velcroing it in place on the tool, that way I can use it on more than one tool. I believe the magnifier is removable. $20 How do you beat that?
