I bet that - for the next couple of weeks anyway - I have more Sys 2's than even Seth has. That's OK, Seth - they're not mine anyway!

But since you brought it up - isn't it about time for you to do a T-LOC FOG-tainer? Some of us new(er) guys need a chance to own a limited edition or two, too!

Thanks for that, Peter. I haven't posted most of the hurdles because they are just part of the process and to be expected. But here's what I have dealt with this week so far:

1. One of the first-aid supplies orders got goofed up. I didn't notice it before because I didn't have room to unpack the boxes and boxes of stuff all at once. They are taking care of it, but it will add a few more days to get here. It probably won't delay anything on my end though, since I'm waiting for the printer anyway.

2. Speaking of the printer...they resisted doing the artwork I sent them. They are having a meeting with their production staff tomorrow to see if they can get a 'buy in' to do what I want. I should have an answer on that by the end of the day - I hope.

3. One of the most bizarre issues I came across is this: Did you know that you can't buy sterile water without a doctors orders? I guess they are concerned that someone will use it to mix their own home-brew injectable substance, but the whole idea that you need Drs. orders to buy water is just ridiculous.

And that's a glimpse into 'a day in the life of a First Aid systainer'.

I am past due for an update - my apologies. I got a couple of days behind because of my stint in the hospital, but I'm back on track now.

Did I tell you about my new Sys-Roll? It rolls on Michelins...and it has a diesel engine!

If you look close you might notice something odd about these systainers? Specifically, there are no latches, and no lids! In order to get them ready for fixturing and printing I had to remove the lids and latches. Not a big job on one, but even at 2 minutes per systainer that adds up to almost 2 hours!

And here they are on a pallet at the printers:

They should begin printing them by Friday, and I should be able to pick them up on Monday or Tuesday. Check back by the end of the week to see the surprise I promised...

I've been promising a bit of a surprise, and the time is here to let you know what it is. I know that a few of us - you know who you are - don't always store our Systainers "head on" because they don't always fit. And when we're on a site, it would be nice if the Mini-Trauma Systainer were visible from more angles than just the front.

So now...one of the moments you've all been waiting for. In fact, you might say it's a bit of a...

Printing started this afternoon and should be done (and dry) by tomorrow. The T-LOC latches will get printed either tomorrow or Wednesday and I can pick everything up on Thursday and start assembling them over the weekend.
