They sure are and very comfortable to hold.
Used my Trend Fast track system to hone them and was delighted with the edge I got.
The brass block plane is beautiful on end grain.

Yeah. Lie Nielsen is evil. Especially when only three hours of travel in my truck separates us. I ordered a 1/2" chisel yesterday and have the 3/8" fishtail, the 60-1/2 block plane, cabinet scraper kit and the bronze beading tool. What great tools though. All of my hand tools are from Lie Nielsen and Lee Valley and are for specialty work but I do love them. $$$$$$$

At first, I started to chuckle about taking a 3 hour drive to pick up a couple of hand planes and/or chisels.  I shut up quickly when I remembered driving 4-1/2 hours >>> each way
