So my daughter has just had her second birthday, and I wanted to make her a toy so have built this wlanut and cherry wood cooker sink unit. It was a bit of a last minute project so don't have and build pictures. I started off with rough sawn 26mm waney edge cherry and walnut, resawed and planed. Quite a few tools used, so to name some of the key ones

-Hammer N4400 Bandsaw
-CMS with the OF1400 & TS55, Festool Jigsaw in the CMS plate to make the hob plates
-Domino
-RO150FEQ
-Jet Pillar drill (for the cooker knobs)

I finished it using a wipe on tung based product *Finishing oil by Chesnut products)

Beautiful job, I'll bet your daughter was very excited.  No doubt destined to become a family heirloom piece.

That looks great  [thumbs up] and she is sure to love it.

You realize that, by giving her such a quality kitchen, you are setting her future expectations for craftsmanship very high.

+1

I pity her remodeling contractor 30 years from now! [laughing]

Wow, you don't muck about.  Walnut for a kids toy  [scared]

Like Frank said, you have set the bar high for future projects.  Lovely work.

I bought 1.5 cubic meters of waney edge 26mm walnut for about £700 from a saw mill going bust so have a lot to work through, wlanut is nearly cheaper than going to B&Q for MDF!

That really is a great idea all outa wood!  You did a very nice job thanks for sharing

Matt,

Beautiful design and construction!  That oven/stove  (hob) is sort of my speed in the kitchen.  [embarassed]
