Hi,

I have an older house that has doug fir floors that were refinished 2 years ago with four coats of an oil based polyurethane.  I have some latex overspray that will not come off (might be PVA primer).  I have a Rotex 125 and feel that the only way to get this stuff off is by buffing out with my sander.  The sheen on the floors is a semigloss.  Any sanding pad you can recommend and/or polish?

Latex hard to remove?  How much overspray are we talking about? And have you tried goof off? Or something similar?

I use a razor blade to remove the odd spot, but how much do you have to remove?

I've gotten latex spatter off polyurethaned floors with water and a credit card as a scraper.

auto zone
$10
clay detailing bar with lube
try in inconspicuous place first
squirt the clay lube, and rub with the clay bar.
at first, you get a scratchy feel that turns glassy when the overspray is gone.
if it won't harm a car hood, i think it'll work well for you.
i've remove epoxy overspray from cars with it.
