Hello colleagues!

I would like to share my last experiment. I decide to equip my old router Fe OF1010 wirh the LED light like Carvex has.
Maybe it would be useful for someone.
Let me know about your opinion in comments!

This is awesome. Can you provide the cad file for the mount?
hmm... I don't have it cause i drew in Aspire directly. But if you really need I think I can make sketchup model

Very nice... [cool]...I'm also surprised that shadows aren't an issue when illuminating only half of the area, but that is certainly not the case. Just curious what LEDs you used. Are those Luxeon Rebels?

Haha, nice!  I love watching your videos, you're always inventing something!  Great work.

Mirock - you rock !  [thumbs up]

Just when I think you couldn't possibly dream up another cool woodworking idea - bam...... another video.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Sir, your ingenuity brings a smile to my face every time!
Thank you for sharing... again!

Terrific work with great results.  I'd love to have that on my routers.

Brilliant way to woid the warranty  [wink]

Would like to see this going into the product itself, did you think about submitting this to the Ideen Offensive (sorry, they don't seem to have this page in english) ?

I don't need warranty because Festool never get broken. [wink]

It could be made like attached equipment without cutting body of the router. Power possible to take with this interim socket

I don't know much about them.

I've bought these -http://a-svet.prom.ua/p43532032-moschnyj-svetodiod-1vt.html

Drivers for supply power -http://svetodiodnyj-drajver-220v.html/

This driver can supply 3 or 4 or 5 diods. Need to attach them sequetially. Also need to remember that diods required cooling. For this use thermoglue like this -http://a-svet.prom.ua/p287156571-termo-provodyaschij-klej.html

Need to glue diods to cooler radiator. I made it by myself as body because regular absolutely inappropriate by size.

This is cooler -http://forled.com.ua/products/radiator-dlya-svetodioda-1-vt/

And regular interim platform for fixing -http://a-svet.prom.ua/p56726151-alyuminievaya-podlozhka-dlya.html

Last ones I didn't use at all. Too less place for them.

Usually diods glue to them and after these plates glue to coolers by thermoglue. I made aluminum body frame to substitute plate and cooler by it.

Wonder if the wonks on the Festool mothership are taking note ???

Dewalt's trim router and even Ridgid's 2.25hp have this feature and they cost less than $150 retail.  That dewalt is no larger than a soda can either.

Only time I can see this not being an advantage would be mounted in a table where they might shine right in your eyes.  Mirock's solution addresses that and Festool and Bosch's jigsaws have switches that can turn off the lites too.

So it is possible and not expensive to add this tech.
