Lee Valley now carrying Tanos Systainers

I'm going there tomorrow and buying a few.  does anyone know if the Systainer with the attic is specially made for Festool?

Tanos does offer the Systainer with the attic. I have no idea if Lee Valley carries them, I didn't check out their site.

I was there last week and they didn't have any, I'l drop by next week. [big grin]

Wow competitive to american prices!

I've got my cart full and I'm dangerously close to pulling the trigger.

WOW, in Canada the prices at Lee Valley are a lot cheaper than those charged by Festool.   [smile]

Here are three examples (in Canadian $).

1)  Empty Sys1:                      Festool: $79.80                       Lee Valley: $62.00

2) Empty Sys 5:                      Festool: $110.00                     Lee Valley:  $84.50

3) 12 Drawer Systainer:         Festool: $180.10                     Lee Valley:  $138.00

Says this on one of the pages ???

A great method for organizing, storing and safely transporting gear. Made in Germany of strong ABS plastic, they come with a lifetime replacement guarantee.

For the U.S. the prices are the same on Systainers and Sortainers as Festool's prices. The Festool systainer has a bar at the top rear that those at Lee Valley do not have. Not much diffrent. The lift handle on the Lee Valley ones has more roundness. The differences are minor.  Lee Valley has some items that Festool does not stock.

Talkfestool has a lot of detail under "All things Systainer"  S.R,Semenza has done a great deal of research. He owns both types.

I have both and the Tanos handle is much nore comfortable.  would I pay more for the Tanos handle maybe $5.00  but if the price is the same I will ALWAYS buy the Tanos for this reason alone  (the other major difference is that the Festool sys 2-5 have a brace by the hinge pins that the Tanos dosent but I dont notice any difference.

(side note what i would love to see is an optional step lid that wont flex when "fat boy"

Great information!  Just in time to take advantage of their free shipping until January 3rd!

I noticed the insert foam, systainers and sortainers are cheaper than mysystainer.com prices!  Wow! The labels and pouches and some trays are the same price though.  Didn't check everything though.  Great timing though!

Awww... This isn't fair!!!  Right after Christmas!!!

Rob Lee's bound and determined to bankrupt me!  Every time I turn around he's added another "gotta have" item or two to the inventory.  Guess I'll just have to hit the Burlington store Monday. [smile]

just do it!!

I did, playing with them now! The endorphen rush was fantastic.

I calculated the difference and its about a 20% savings and I had to drive 10 minutes and that had everything in stock.

BTW Craig is right the handle is ever so slightly different but about a million times better!  I want all Tanos handles.

You better move if they are only 10 minutes away!!

Can anybody confirm if the Tanos are the same off white grey colour as  Festool ??
Happy New Year to you all
