Last night at 10:34 pm Eastern time US, I sent Lee Valley an email stating that their free shipping code had not worked on the order I had just placed. At 10:36 pm, I received an email from Lee Valley informing me that they had manually removed the shipping charge from my order.

I think that a two minute turnaround time at night is outstanding service.

 
You can say that again.  Lee Valley has no equal in the customer service area.  Great company.
 
They sure do. My wife was having issues last night with the same thing. I couldn't help because it was stuff off my wish list! I told her it would work out. They are awesome.
 
If it's not too much trouble, can someone let me know where to find a free shipping code?  I haven't seen one of the usual email promotions.
 
I missed the free shipping.  I thought I was on their email list, and I do get regular emails from them, but nothing about this sale.

Did you get an email, or was it just on their site?

First wanted to echo other's thoughts, I've had nothing but great customer service experiences with Lee Valley.

Looking at the e-mail I got, it also thanked me for a recent order I had placed so I assume there was a window in which a recent order had to be placed to get it.
 
I placed an order with them on the 14th and was charged $14.00 in shipping maybe I should contact them.
 
I received the email on the afternoon of December 14.

The title of the email was  Free Shipping for Christmas Delivery - 2 Days Only

You were supposed to enter Freeshipping in the comment box on the order. Even though I did that, the total bill included shipping charges. They then removed the charges.

Last night I discovered a need for another Lee Valley product. Always happens after I have placed an order.
 
Preaching to the choir here, but it's important to acknowledge a great company. Lee Valley just does things right.
 
Mini catalog and email announce free shipping for orders over $40 from today to January 4. No special codes were mentioned that I saw.
