Leigh 704R Guide Bushing Adapter Questions

I got a Leigh 704R guide bushing adapter for my OF 1010 router..  As advertised, it is looser and allows for better centering of the guide bushing.

Two question:

Where can I get some M4 screws with flat heads that won't protrude above the base of the plate?  The ones I have are too thick.

As you can see in the attached picture, the Festool guide bushing adapter has four circular slots in their guide bushing plate.  These work well for dust collection.  I was thinking of drilling a series of holes in the Leigh adapter for the same reason.  Has anyone else done this?

Thanks in advance.

I had the hardest time finding them too. Going to a local hardware store to test is your best option, but even then I ended up having to file down the head of the best fitting pair. Everything I could find was too high when mounted. I think it's a real shame Leigh doesn't provide a pair.

I contacted Leigh.  They said they would send me two screws.  I will report back after I receive them.

Regarding Leigh / Festool vacuum circular slots:
Drilling holes IS an economical and interesting solution.

Leigh has a vacuum solution for ALL router brands -
Not just a solution for Festool routers - Or Porter-Cable - Or Trident - Or...

It’s their Leigh VRS Vacuum & Router Support.

BTW... It works great!
Little or no dust - And a great router support, too boot.
I use it with both my Festool OF1400 and my Porter-Cable 690LR.

I agree that is a very good solution for their dovetail jigs for dust collection and router support.  I was thinking of dust collection using a template and guide bushing where the slots would help.

Use 4 mm x 0.70 mm pitch cheese head screws, head thickness 1.85 mm max.

Can you point me to a supplier for these?  I have have done some searching and can find anything with this head thickness.

Thanks!

I got mine from Leigh.  McMaster-Carr doesn't sell them with thin heads like these.
