Yes,I have been bite,I bought my first Festools,I bought a Dominio 500,and,a CT 26 Dust Extractor,What I would like to know is,I'm thinking of buying the Boon Arm ,would the Hose that came with my 26 Extractor ,be sufficient to attach to the Boon-Arm? or,will I have to buy some other size of Vacum Hose,to attach to the Boon-Arm,I'm a complete novice on all matters regarding Festool Products,so, I need help and advise. Also, would it be possible ,to use my 26 extractor on my Table-Saw? with some type of jig attached to the end of the Festool hose, and over the saw blade?to capture dust etc?Or is the 26 extractor to small for Table-Saws? All help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure others will have their own opinions, but...

I use the 3.5 M hose with my boom arm and I wouldn't use anything longer with that setup. It works well for my shop plus the whole point of my investment in the boom arm was to keep the hose out of the way while working. For me, anything longer would get in the way.

It's not very likely that using a CT for table saw dust collection will work. The volume of dust from a table saw would likely be too great. In addition, if you were going to use the CT on a table saw, I think you'd have to try it with Festool's larger diameter 36mm hose or, even a on short run, the 50mm hose. However, for me, my CT wouldn't be sufficient for a table saw, jointer, or planer. Even my router table has more efficient dust collection if I hook it to my larger cyclone dust collector.

One other note about the boom arm. I believe it is made for a 7' ceiling clearance. That means that to be usable for moving around your shop you must make sure nothing hangs below the 7' level, including lights. I needed to cut the boom arm tubing to make it work in my shop. It works fine and cutting it is certainly doable if that is what is required for your shop.

Hope that helps.
