Hey guys, once upon a time I thought I saw a topic that had pictures posted of people's shops. I've been searching for an hour and can't seem to find it, so I thought I'd try to start a new one.
I'm in the process of adding to my shop, and I'm hungry for ideas. They say the best ideas are the ones you haven't thought of yet...so, how about a bunch of us post pictures of what we think to be the neatest parts of our shops? You know, the parts that turned out just the way you like them or the parts that took a lot more work to get done than we'd like to admit to. Pictures of custom tool storage, specialty cabinets that house compressors or table saws or router tables, floor layouts, multifunction areas, and just about anything that you can't own by simply going to a box box store would be great to see.
My idea is to post one reply per "item" with an explanation of what it's for, how you did it, and a small summary of your project's success as well as what you would do differently the second time around.
I hope this takes off, and though my pride and joy shop creation is torn apart for the moment while I revamp the table top to hold vertical clamps around the edges...when it is done I will post some pics for all to either envy or scoff. [smile]
Give me some winner ideas y'all!
Jake
