I've never built a cabinet with interior lighting.  The cabinet will have Two 13"x18" stained glass pieces one in each door.
My thought was to use glass shelves on the inside and top mounted lights. I thought the glass shelves would allow light to more uniformly illuminate the glass doors. This will be in a bathroom and I wont be trying to display anything on the inside only the image in the glass.
Any recommendations on type of lights?
Are there other methods where you can use wood shelves but make them narrower than the cabinet and light from above with LED strip lights etc.?
Thanks

Highly recommend the diode led products. They're reasonably priced and they offer a lot of solutions for different problems/applications.

I used their Cascade light bar for under cabinet lighting when I refurbished the kitchen. I would have liked to use the 4200K color, however all they offered in the Cascade product line was 3000K. That's a bit too yellow for my taste, however it was a better fit than the 6300K version.

I made for my wife a shoe cabinet and a new head board. I used led strip for both ( led strip on each shelve. I attached you two pictures. I hope this will help you.
