This and its little brother the 33 were on sale for ~$230-250 last week and I passed on them but at $180. .heck a Ridgid shop vac goes for $100. The ability to mount systainers and use Festool hoses is amazing value.

Here's a video from ACME tools unboxing of the 33:

Thanks
Being made by Nilfisk (who makes Festool as far as I know) it's no surprise it shares so many similarities with the CT I already own. The limiting factors will be 1) No Bluetooth ability and 2) I believe it uses a 16ga power cord whereas Festool uses 12ga. Something to consider if you want to run bigger tools off of it. I dug through the manual and it appears to offer about 5A to the tool outlet.

OK I bit on this deal (thanks  [member=65062]DynaGlide[/member] )- was looking to get rid of my old craftsman. Any suggestions on replacement dust bags or long life bags for this?

Thanks

I should be getting a commission. .that's 3 sales  ;D Looking at ACME tools website it appears the same 5 pack of fleece bags works on both the 33 and 44:https://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/flex-accessories/flex-445088 . I'm toying with the idea of adding a Festool Cyclone to the top some day.

Acme Tools carries a lot of the accessories:
https://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/flex-accessories?fetchFacets=true#facet:&facetLimit:&productBeginIndex:0&orderBy:5&pageView:grid&minPrice:&maxPrice:&pageSize:96&

Apparently the listed L-Boxx adapter also works with Systainers.

Lowes has it cheaper with free ship to store  ;)

[member=65062]DynaGlide[/member]  Does this vac already come with the systainer adapter? (looks like it's included looking at the Flex web page description)

If you compare model #'s and read the toolguyd post I don't believe it does include the adapter. The FLEX website does not list the model # used by ACME, CPO, Tyler Tool. [member=67145]Dusty.Tools[/member] can confirm as he already owns the VCE 33.

Sold!  You should be getting a commission.

Thanks for the heads up.  I've been wanting third vac in the shop to supplement my CT36 and Turbo II.

I never thought it'd come to this. I've become a vacuum salesman.  [crying]

[member=65062]DynaGlide[/member], I was doing well by resisting temptation on all these Black Friday specials, until this one... I couldn’t miss this one.  Thanks for the heads-up.

Gerald

The ones I’ve seen on sale and the two I brought do not include the Systainer Mount.

I wish I’d wait a week for my 2nd, i’d have saved $50!

[member=65062]DynaGlide[/member] shows out of stock on the adapter at Lowe’s

Anyway thanks for the heads up. Almost pulled the trigger at $250 but at 180 couldn’t resist.  [eek]

I think I've been saving an old style hose end before the Cleantec came along. It should fit right onto the hose. Then I can use my Festool cleaning accessories.

Everyone who got the Flex vac at the ~ $ 180 price really lucked out. I wanted to buy one for my work area at church and now the price is back to $399.  I called Tyler/CPO and they said the $ 180 price was a glitch  [eek] and are working to get the website updated.

In case anyone is interested, I have been thinking about the (new) Kapex.  I contacted Festoolrecon to ask if the one they are selling is the old model with the newer motor (like what is being discounted at Hartville) and they replied "This is the older model of the Kapex".  Knowing that some of those have the newer motor I again asked if it had the newer motor.  The reply back was "This is the older model Kapex."  A tempting deal to say the least (some have speculated it was a batch (or several batches) of motors, but I will pass on the deal...although I almost pulled the trigger.  Also kudos to the Festool Recon department with their fast replies. I have had nothing but great products through the recon site.  I know some have not, but I have been very pleased.

Flex vac is now listed at $399.

Hopefully they will ship prior orders and not cancel. Fingers crossed.

I'm sorry , but this is just inexcusable.

1. Do they not know what they are selling ?
2. Are they delibertly selling a product they know is prone to trouble without repairing it with their supposed fix ?
3. Even worse is they're only offering a one year warranty on this turkey.

Shame on Festool for this.  They need to be doing a better job given the Kapex history.

Hopefully the marketplace will show them their error.  But, I doubt it.

FWIW - I just used the Acme Tools' Cyber Monday promo (15% Off Max $100) to buy a Nova Viking.

Free shipping but I did pay Texas sales tax.

The promo does not work with the Nova Voyager.
