Live Festool Webcast From Las Vegas

Mark,
Hey, that's neat.  I'm going to put the link on the main page as a news flash.

Maybe we could get some members to stand in front of the camera at designated times and say "hello" to the forum!

Just checked in for the first time today and evesdropped on a conversation Marc was having with David Marks.  Pretty cool!

Well, I just got back from the show. The webcam wasn't running when I was there, so my FestoolOwnersGroup.com sign was printed for naught.

Only one thing new at the show: A very cool Systainer chock full o' drill bits and drivers with a very cool two part molded insert. I took some pics and will share them as soon as feasible.

Festool had a great booth and spent a boatload of money on marketing. Every single person who attends the show will see the name Festool, for sure! They didn't have any swag, but since I wore my t-shirt I did get a coveted Festool badge holder necklace. Of course, that just caused seven people that I met to ask if I worked for them.

"I might as well, but no," was my answer.

Kapex = 2008 according to two reps.

I managed to stumble into a lot of the big names in "Beyond the Borg" woodworking. Most of the show was aimed at huge shops so there were at least sixty sliding tablesaws and more CNC equipment than you could imagine.

It was a bad, bad day to be a piece of melamine, for sure.

I will make a new thread once I get the photos scaled down.
