Loft Bed/Metal Stud Question

I am building a loft bed/platform for my son to replace IKEA kit that he has now.  It will be supported on one one side and at the head, and to the beams overhead (we live in old factory building).  Since most of the weight will be supported overheard, do I need to sheath the wall that is metal-studded with Plywood to spread any remaining load down to the floor?  I was planning on attaching ledger-boards (2x6 or 2x8s), running vertical supports to the ceiling beams (tbd, 4x4 maybe), and then completing the platform with 2x4 or 2x6 joists etc.  Pics attached.  Biggest concern is that i don't want any post coming down from the Bed to the floor.  Would love any feedback or advice - pics of the room attached:

Hey Alex, no advice to offer you (sorry, I'm a newbie) but how'd this turn out? Interested in building my daughter a loft/playhouse/"dream bed"

As long as the weight is being carried by the over head beams, any attachments to the wall studs would merely be for stabilization.
