Hi all, I'm pretty sure I had found the parts number for extra long extrusion profile on ekat at one point in time but now I can't find it anymore. I want to make my MFT/3 longer by replacing the extrusions by longer ones and making a new top.

Does anybody know what the parts number is for the profile?

cheers, Bob.

It's not a spare part, so doesn't have to be ordered through the parts process.

You need Festool 496824 - MFT/3-TP 2000 LA Table Profile.

I know this is old, but those part numbers and/or description don't come up with anything anymore.  Does anybody know if these are still available?

Part is still available, at least it is in the UK and Europe. Your profile doesn't say where you're from; they've never been available in the United States so perhaps that's the issue?

A friend of mine ordered these in Holland last month and they are still available.
They are also available from some German webshop.
So in Europe they are available but some shops don't ship them over the border because of the length of 2 meter.

Thanks for the tip.  I scrolled through their online menu and didn't find the profile and wasn't able to find it by partno.  Did you have to contact them to order?

I have also successfully ordered from them. You create a profile and add everything you want to the cart. Go thru the normal check-out process and it will submit the order to them as a quote. They will email you a pdf with shipping charges etc. Was a very painless way to save some money vs buying domestically.

Neohio, is correct. Even if it's not list on their site they can get most items.

Thanks guys.  I just sent them an email to seeing they can help me out.  I appreciate the help.

Scorpion-

Can you keep us updated on this.  I would love to get 3 long rails to make into a large custom MFT table.

But I wonder what the cost of these two meter rails are and the shipping cost to the States.

Yes, please keep us up dated on your progress.  I would like to build a larger table
Thank you

Scorpion, maybe we can do a group buy if it would save on shipping overall. I would be interested and I'm sure others would be interested in a group buy as well. You could ship to your house and then ship to me if you would consider that. I would pay you up front of course. Please consider, thanks.

I am another that would be in the market for a pair of the long extrusions.  I just bought one of the standard long side rails from Toolnut to experiment.

Please count me
If somebody is able to get a dealer in Berlin I would bring it back
Mid March ( I will be there for 3 days)

I heard back.  A pair of the long rails shipped to Denver, Co is $350.  For this interested in the breakdown, the cost of the rails was $279.50 and the shipping was $69.57.  They're not a regularly stocked item so they'll take an additional 2 weeks to get because they have to order them directly from Germany.

Given shipping isn't crazy, it seems a group by may not actually save us much unless we were all in the same city.  Haven't ordered yet.  Any of you near Denver?

Gonna end up a fairly expensive table - $350 + $665 = $1015.

They don't happen to make a longer fence do they?  Would be nice to have one that's nearly the full length so the flags can be utilized to the new length.

There's two dealers in Berlin.  I suppose you could check them on your flight like skis...

Scorpion, thanks for doing the leg work. I agree the shipping isn't that bad considering shipping to the states. Thanks again.
