Long Island, NY woodworkers - Where do you get your lumber?

Any members from Long Island, NY area or surrounding areas.  Where do you get your plywood and lumber from?  I know Home Depot as the Purebond Plywood, but looking for better options.

the better option for plywood would be Roberts Plywood in Babylon. There stuff is square and clean and actually fairly decently priced
I have used them for a long time as they have ply in both 8 and 10 foot lengths
I would give them a look and maybe you have found what you need

I am in Sayville so they deliver depend on the quanity you buy

For those of us who need to fit their plywood into their cars to get them home, do they mind if you cut your sheets in half in their parking lot with your own saw?

I haven't bought from Roberts but most won't have an issue.  Actually they may even rough cut for you.  A place I go will crosscut hardwoods if you need to, they generally have to much crap in front of the panel saw so I bring a cordless circular saw.

+1 on Roberts Plywood.

For hardwood it's hard to beat Rosenzweig Lumber in the Bronx, which has a diverse, high quality and well-priced selection
of hardwoods (including many exotics) as well as plywood.  They're actually easy to get to -- first exit in the Bronx off the Triboro bridge, or if you're coming from Long Island they would be right off the Cross Bronx if you're coming from the Throgs Neck.

If you're willing to go further afield, I go to this place called Boards and Beams in Fairfield, New Jersey, which along with a hardwood selection that equals Rosenzweig, has a huge range of moulding in several different species, exotics that you will not find anywhere else in the area, and live edge slabs.

I've heard of them and they're open on Saturdays, next time I'm in NJ on a weekend, I need to stop by.

Try Singh's in the Rockaways. Not the easiest to get to with a commercial vehicle
But Jay has an enormous warehouse filled with hardwoods,I believe he is supplying most smaller local venders.
