Longlife or filter bags for ct sys?

I see festool say the long life bags are mainly for course chips and debris, but I use the ct sys for sanding and the odd cut on the ts 55.

Do they get clogged up with fine dust easily and is it best to stick to the filter bags?

I can't answer your question mate but how do you find the sys vac? Do you use the exhaust blower port at all? Was interested in what Jonny round boy I think his name was had to say and his utube video on it. I like the idea of being able to hook up the hose to use as a sprayer.
Apart from that just the convenient systainer size and weight is cool.

For me I really dislike the idea of a bag you have to empty. In my mind, what's the point of having HEPA filters, filter bags, dust classification standards and all that expense on fancy extractors if we then have to open up the bag to empty the contents into a bin and end up inhaling a load of dust anyway??

I really like it. Very handy when coming to install in a house and the odd cut/tidy up.

And yes I also use it as a spray system like Jonny round boy, but with a different gun setup. I sold my Fuji q4 hvlp system in favour of the ct sys! I keep meaning to put a video up but been real busy.

I know what you mean, but my wallet prefers the longlife bag option if it is worth it?!?  [wink]

I didn't think emptying the bag was that much of hassle, or dirty, but I prefer to use the normal bags now.

Yes Jimmy, just the standard disposable filter bags.

I sand a lot because I paint a lot, this summer almost on a daily basis even though it is not my profession. Though I get the feeling it is my profession now. It takes me more than a month to fill the bag of my CTL Mini (5 L) with sanding alone. So cost of the bags isn't really that important for me and using a LL bag would not save me money.
