Looking for a mitre gauge?

For my table saw, I am considering a Kreg miter gauge.  At $160.00 it seems like a good value.  It has gotten nice reviews and I like the vernier scale for accuracy.

That's the one I had. It works great. The stops are nice. The only oddity is that the brass indexing pin is loose, as in not connected, it fits the holes very well. You just have to be aware of where you put it, if it is not "in use". I always thought they should have put an extra hole in it somewhere as a storage spot?

I have one too, but decided to upgrade to the Jessem model (it's arriving on Friday).  My reasons are that even with the pin in, there is some play in the miter gauge and you have to careful to make the scale is where you want it.  I contacted Kreg and they told me that is normal.  As [member=58857]Crazyraceguy[/member] said, it's easy to loose the pin, I have had it fall out when carrying the miter gauge around.

I plan to keep the Kreg and use it on my router table and band saw without the rail.
