Looking for extended rails (488555)

Hi Guys,

Well, I thought, thought, delayed, and thought some more about building an extended mft3 for site use; finally decided to pull the trigger, only to discover that the extended rails are no longer available.  Bummer.

I'm hoping that someone might have purchased some, never started that project, and could use some cash.  

I'm not looking for a bargain(even if they have been used).  As long as they are not bent, I'll gladly pay retail plus shipping.

I do not think that extended MFT3 extended rails were ever available. Festool did sell longer profiles for the old style MFT tables.
I am sure a welding shop could make some long MFT3 rails out of shorter ones.

Thanks Chris, the welding shop is plan "B"   I stand corrected, I had it in my mind for the mft3, but no.

Those are not MFT3 rails.
Maybe I misunderstood the question or Dan did a typo.

I remember one of the complaints when the MFT3 was introduced was that there would be no long profiles sold.

Yes, Chris, I think they were for the older MFT tables, not the MFT 3. Sorry, I did not check the listing properly.

No typo, just un-informed Dan. Sorry guys.  I'm still looking for the long rails.  I'll check some other dealers.  Used ones are still welcome.

I remember seeing longer MFT 3 profiles somewhere. 2M long I think? Anyone else see these? Love to have some myself.

It's kind of funny but I have one of the old ones left. It's the 1080/800 style and is a meter long. I had a pair and a customer from Houston wanted only one, so I am left with only one.

It's pretty odd...
