Looking for manual for old Kapex extension wings

Hi folks,
I just bought a used MFT Kapex and the older extension wings (see attached pic).  Unfortunately, I seem to be missing some parts-including the support legs which seem to be required for these to work.  I'm hoping to find a manual that talks about how to attach this to the saw so I can be sure I'm doing it right and to know that I'm indeed missing normally included parts.

Also, the previous owner included a pair of what I think are possibly cross support bars for the MFT, but again I can't find any pics or anything to confirm that, and if they are support bars, I don't see how to attach them to the table.  I will try and also attach a pic of these bars.  Thanks for any help.

Thanks for these.  The first link just takes me to some login screen with no ability to do "lost password", etc.

That is the link for the UG wing e-kat spare parts page. Go to the e-kat and look up the wings, for some reason copy/paste does not work.

Hi, those stabilisers attach to the bottom track of the extensions with the sliding nut, and the round thing drops into a hole of the mft, they can then be secured from underneath with a big knob with a bolt, like the ones that come with the clamping elements.

I modified mine a bit, so the sliding nut and its knob can remain attached to the support for transport, and don't need to be removed for assembly. (just undo it a bit, and hook the stabiliser around it and tighten)

If you go on ekat, it is very handy to order a few extra support brackets (I went with 2 extra, but 4 would have been even better)

Thanks everyone.  There were some missing pieces, but the previous owner found them all, so I'm good to go.  I was a little disappointed that on the left side you aren't able to get the extension wing to line up exactly with the built in fence of the Kapex, so you can't have those wings be parallel.  I was surprised and called festool customer service where the guy said that the extension wings are only meant to offer vertical support and they aren't meant to have the material register against the wings.  I can understand them not feeling like they can "guarantee" parallel, but it'd be nice is we had had the chance to make them parallel on our own if we were so inclined.  In any case, the wings did a fine job in getting this trim job done, and I really like having a shorter MFT table that I can use an an extension to my tablesaw outfeed when I need it.

You probably have the latest model Kapex. I normally have the fence of the wings set back a little, so I don't have to push too hard for slightly bent stock to sit nicely against the fence of the saw. But I remember I can set them in line if I want to do so (did that when I was using the plastic fence highteners when cutting stuff upright (I usually cut base on the flat with the kapex) (Mine is a really early model, I bought it as a set with the old mft800)

[member=1993]Frank-Jan[/member] and Festool are spot on [member=42371]mbira[/member] - placing the supports coplanar to the fences can introduce problems when the stock is not 100% square so the recommendation is always to have them slightly back from the fences and to push your stock up against the fence only when cutting.

I use the wings for repeatable cuts. So as long as the tape is accurate (even though I check the measurement by using a tape before cutting) The flag stops are whats important to cut to length. So the wings dont have to be lined up exactly

Calibrating my extensions to ensure the tapes were accurate is how I found out that one of the sides of one of my Woodpeckers Hex Scale rules was mis-aligned/etched...

I think this is giving Festool too much credit.  The original Kapex that these wings were designed for did indeed allow the fence to be parallel, correct?  It's only the new design with the slide-out table extenders on the saw that make the groove smaller so now you can only make the right side parallel.  The Kapex is not only for trimming long potentially bent trim, but also for precision work.  It's not a "feature" if a miter saw station isn't able to be made parallel.  Furthermore the only mention of this in the manual is to "use a long workpiece to align the trimming attachment in relation to the compound mitre saw".  So I think this is a feature that went away with the new saw design, and it's no big deal, but there's no need to try and justify it.  It's good to have the option to push the fence back if desired, but it'd be nice to also be able to make it parallel if desired.

These wings weren't designed for the kapex, they were already available as a "trimstop" accessory for the CS70 saw; they designed the crownstops to couple them to the Kapex, (originally the legs were longer to account for the higher height of the mft800, and the tapemeasure starts at a different number as for the CS70).
But they could easily be bumped out of allignment, so they came up with the stabiliser arms when they introduced the EB-set to the USA.
I asked a festool rep at a demonstration about those when I had seen them online, and festool sent me 2 sets of stabilisers for the mft3 :)

I later found the stabilisers on ekat in the updated parts list and ordered a pair.

I think the EB wings were discontinued before the update to the kapex, but I think you can probably modify one of the crownstops so you can have them both coplanar to the Kapex' fence if you want to.

I have shortened the legs of the extension wings and my mft800, so I can use them with my cs70 and mft3 without putting those on  blocks to shim them up. (so my mft 800 is now the same height as an mft Kapex (the mft3 version of the small table))

Thanks for these details!  Yeah, I was thinking if it becomes important enough to me, a few minutes with a metal grinder and I can cut of a bit of the clamp under that wing to give me the extra 1/4" or so.
