A customer asked me if I could build 4 lounge chairs made from composite decking material. I had never built one before but of course I said yes and then started my search for an acceptable unit. This is the chair, I hadn't cleaned it up yet when photographed. This material is HEAVY! It probably weighs at least 150#s. I got a Domino to put the frame and the adjustable back together. The material is from Armadillo Decking and is solid core with a plastic wrap. I discovered Titebond III won't stick to the wrap but it will bind the cut ends, especially when used with the Dominos. As with any new project, I learned what to do and not to do with the first one so the next 3 should go much smoother and not have any waste.

For the exposed ends, I found that using oil-based gel stain works great to match the walnut wrap.
