Does this set include or not include the end stops (496 938) to set the distance from the end of the workpiece?  I read some posts on FOG that it used to contain the end stops, but I wonder if this changed recently and they are not included?  Also, what is the part number for the foam insert used in the full blown kit (584 100) if one were to get this set and add it to an existing Systainer 1?

Thanks!

Scot

scott it is a great setup for doing the shelf pin holes.. here is a video showing it in use...

Scott,

I have one it has everything you need minus the router ad actual guide rail.

The end stops can be used to set the distance between 2 LR32 1400 guide rails as well.

If ya want you can wait a few weeks say to the end of Jan or 1st of Feb and swing by the shop and Ill let ya play with mines and show ya what I know about it.

Oh yea it also can be used to drill the cup hinge holes for cabinet doors. The kit comes with a 35mm bit for that.

I havent figured out how to set that up to use it. But Im giving  Alan a call when I get back home and have him teach me.

Thanks, guys.  Tom -- do you know if you can order the foam insert as a separate part?

This kit seems like the best value since it includes the end stops and the side stops -- even buying the bits separately it comes out a few dollars cheaper than the kit in the Systainer, unless I am missing something.

Here is how I calculate it if one were to buy everything separately:

LR32 hole drill set in box Item 583 290 -- $225.00
5mm dowel bit Item 491 066 -- $27.00
5mm spear point dowel Item 491 064 -- $33.00
35mm hinge bit Item 491 077 --$71.00
Pair screw-clamps Item 489 570 --$38.00
Systainer 1 Item 497 563 --$63.00

Total: $457.00 verses buying the kit item for $465.00 (item 584 100).

I was trying to figure out why there would be a difference.  My guess is the foam insert costs more than $8.00.

I'd say you're probably right, Scot...

I should be able to get it but don't know what it costs. I tried calling Festool and immediately got a recording so I don't even know if they're working today.

From the EKAT system, it looks like part # 700902 at $9.95.

Thanks, Corwin...I looked on EKAT but could not find the LR32 setup.  Appreciate the info.

I just picked up the plastic tray, cardboard top and plastic pins for the cardboard (for T-Loc). I can't find my receipt but I think it was around $12.

Look under Accessories, Systainers.  The inserts are at the end of the parts list(s).

Merry Christmas!   [big grin]

701009 is on the cardboard piece. 700902 is on the insert. I have no idea on the part number for the white plastic clips.
This is for the T-Loc systainer.

Am I right on thinking you need an 8mm collet for the 35mm hinge drill, which isn't supplied.

The Australian Festool site has this warning... An 8mm collet - 488755 (sold seperately) is required for the LR32 to work with the OF 1010. 494460 (sold seperately) is required for the OF 1400.

I thought as much. I remember how cross I was after buying the OF1400 and the LR32 system and not being able to start work until I had found a supplier that had the 8mm collet in stock..which had to be ordered in...Yea, thanks Festool.
I was almost as cross when I bought the ts55 with 2 rails only to find you can't cut a sheet without the hose catching on the rail. Either wrap the hose around your arm or bur a extra Festool product that, in my eyes, should be included.

In the US both the OF 1010 and the OF 1400 come with the 8mm collet. At least my Imperial versions of those two did.
