Has anyone used the LR 32 system on non 32 mm cabinets. I don't want to spend the money if it's not effective for any other cabinet layouts. Sorry if this has been discussed. I searched for it and couldn't find anything helpful.

There is very little need for anyone in DIY/amateur joinery for following the 32 system.
It was used after the Second World War to allow multi country fabrication of box cabinets and was used heavily in kitchen and bedroom bathroom cabinet construction, mass production.
If you are building a bespoke unit then design is to your requirements not the requirements of a standard, if you want to follow the 32 system then save yourself fortunes and go to "Ikea", they sell every size in cabinets, peppered with holes every 32mm.

When you are proudly showing off your bespoke cabinets, peppered in holes every 32mm, to your friends I can assure you that when they say, smiling, "they look nice" they are thinking, lying ba****d he bought them from Ikea.

Be original and drop your obsession with buying something just because it's Festool and make something original.

Hi Do you use much in the way of sheet goods in France, if so what do you use?

[thumbs up]    [member=56766]Big G[/member]  I got a good laugh out of that post.
Actually, only the holes you make need to line up.  Your starting points can be any where. (within your cabinets of course  :o  ???  ::))
