LR32 and shelf pin sleeves

For a built-in project, I planned on using shelf pin sleeves for a nicer appearance, and because I don't want to have to stain the pin holes a dark color to keep them from standing out.

It dawned on me that the LR32 drills 5mm (or 8mm with a different Festool bit).  The shelf pin sleeves sold by Lee Valley range from 5.5mm to 7.5mm.

How do you folks handle this conundrum?  Am I missing something obvious?

Any drilling router bit of the correct dimension should do, shouldn't it? The certainly exist straight cutters in that range.

I use the LV sleeves and pins with an 8 mm straight bit with the LR 32 system, I have tried using a 7.5 mm straight bit , but then I have to use a pin hammer to get the sleeves in.

I use a 7/32 straight flute Freud bit with the smaller pins and sleeves. If you use this method in melamine you will have to slightly chamfer the top edge of the hole for the sleeve to sit flush. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the plywood veneers.

Thanks guys, just the info I needed.  Waka - perfect.  Good to hear the 8mm bit works nicely for the 7.5mm sleeves.
