Joel,
Do you have slop with the base plate and guide rail? First thing you want to do is set up the guide plate to the guide rail and remove any slop with the two screws on the guide plate.
Once you get rid of the slop, install the centering mandrel, hand tight with the 8mm collet into the router. If you have the OF1400, install the guide plate and the two screws, but don't tighten the two screws down just yet. Once you get the screws started, plunge the router down so that the centering mandrel fits into the guide plate. Lock the router into place and tighten the two screws to secure the guide plate to the OF1400 router.
Unlock the router and remove the center mandrel, you only need the center mandrel to center the guide plate with the router.
Next you need to calibrate the edge stops. Place one edge stop onto the guide rail using the raised part of the rail that is closest to the splinter guard, sorry but I don't know the technical name for that part of the guide rail, Hope that makes sense. With the thumb screw tighten the edge stop to the guide rail. Match up the zeros on the edge stop on both scales on the black block and on the rod. Take the provided allen key and loosen the screw, place the router and guide plate onto the rail.
Now, notice the "U" cut out on the guide plate, you want to slide the guide plate up to the edge stop and match the "U" on the guide plate and the pin on the edge stop. With the pin in the "U" cut out, tighten the screw with the allen key. Repeat this process for the other edge stop.
Once done. You should be set. I hope I didn't forget anything. It's been a long time since I calibrated my LR32....so PLEASE....If anyone noticed any step that I may have forgotten, please fill in the gaps.
Eric
