I'm starting to think about my next project - base cabinets, which will be my first project after I started to think about the LR32 system.  In some ways I guess using the 32mm system might be a little less relevant with face frame construction because I don't think you're going to mount the hinges in the shelf pin holes any more, but there is probably still some benefit.

So how do you adjust using the 32mm system to still work with face frames?

Hi you can use the same holes if you use the correct backplates  and you would adjust the backset to allow for the thickness of the face frame

Generally speaking the LR32 won't be much use mounting hinges for a FF application. It would be useful for shelf pin holes on upper cabinets.

Blum, etc. make a FF adapter plate that mounts directly to the edge of the FF - to use a standard baseplate you'd need to block out flush to the FF.

Easy enough, just align the inside edge of the face frame with the inside edge o the box. This allows you to easily install all of the hardware in the boxes. When I was in the Cabinet Class at Festool, I demonstrated how this could be done with the Domino. Last time I was there the cabinet was still in the classroom. If it still is maybe Shane can post some pictures. I don't have any.

With the above arrangement, you can build the boxes, set them, install a continuous face frame. Just make the styles twice as wide. I install a lot of rollout's makes doing them a breeze.

If you do not want to use backing plates, Blum makes a Compact hinge without the tabs, use them and mount to the face frame.
