I bought an LS130 a while back knowing that I wouldn't use it very often but, at the same time, knowing that when I did need it, it would be very useful.

It has been sitting in its systainer for a number of months and when I went to use it this morning I found it sitting in a puddle of oil.  After cleaning up the oil the sander seems to work OK but needless to say, I'm concerned.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for the help

There's likely no oil in the sander, its probably the grease separating.  This happens with other tools too and you shouldn't have any trouble.  If you really want you can call Festool service and see what they say.

I have an LS130 that may go back to 2006 judging from the label. I don't use it frequently, but I've never have grease ir oil leak out from it.

Thanks [member=42462]Rip Van Winkle[/member].  Given that I think I'll give service a call and see what they say.
