I'm thinking about buying an LS130 linear sander, but wanted to see feedback from people who own one. My other Festool sanders are all orbital.

My interests are around final sanding on the boxes I make and for detail sanding of profiles.

I bought one reconditioned and quickly broke it.  Probably my fault, but it's REALLY the ONLY way to do cabinet refinishing of panel doors and drawer fronts.  It sounds awful, but works fantastic.  Get the interface pad and the kit you can buy to shape custom sanding profiles with.  Another bonus.....NEVER a swirl mark, cause it don't swirl  haha

I use it for almost every project where i want a very fine finish
IMHO, it is a great little sander.

I use mine for final finish as it eliminates swirl marks.
Great for panel doors and serving trays.
Gets into corners, but i have the Delta sander.

Other than above, I have only used it for square edges as far as profiles.

Great for stiles and rails—just stick with the grain. I've been known to use it for broader application on other projects but those are trade secrets. It's a great size/shape but I don't use it in corners.

I bought the LS130 and used it today on a remodeling project. It worked very well. It has a much higher noise level than my other Festool sanders. Per a Halfinchdhy video, I found the sander worked better with the vac dialed down to 50% and may have been better even lower.
