Mafell tilting base width measurement

Can somebody tell me the distance from the blade to the shorter side of tilting base? Wondering how close I can get to a wall or other obstruction as it seems the standard base is fairly wide. Thanks

Note, although the distance shown above is only 27 mm, the body of the saw is wider.

As Svar noted, the release lever for the jig saw base is on the RH side of the saw, so from the side of the release lever dragging against the wall  [smile]  to the inside edge of the blade it's about 1 3/8" (35 mm).

Thanks... very helpful. Also I believe it is a reversible base, so is locking lever out of the way when installed the other direction?

Ya but that gives you a 3.4” offset.

Yes, but there is another lever on the other side. So, about 35 mm either way.
