That's pretty cool.  Any concerns about movement in the wood and non in the stone?  Love to see the finished product pictures.

That's very nice. Looks like a tree trunk in that side view. Are there two of those supports or legs (what are you calling them) ? From the spacing it looks there might be but maybe it's an optical illusion.

The foot is also solid slab with live edge. Started at 2 1/2” finished at 1 15/16”. Made a sled and planed down with the of 2200(bags of to festool it’s an amazing machine).
In terms of movement the oak is attached only on one side to the granite. The foot is not pinned or glued at the floor. The foot lands in a tile grout joint ( large rustic tile with wide joint). I worked a fin into the bottom of the foot so it can slide in and out but not side to side.

I had just as much fun making it as picking it out.

The granite on top is 1 7/8  “ thick. But only at the border where it’s doubled up and laminated. The granite was cut back and I mollied  and pl premiumed a piece of white oak to the bottom of the granite( so it was still 1 7/8” thick but half granit half wood and the wood protruded ). The white oak slab was dadoed to accept the join. Screwed and siliconed together.
