Hi guys - does anyone know where I can get 80/20 in Canada? I'm hoping to pay less than retail, so I thought I'd ask you guys first.

Thank you!

You can find a lot of 8020 extrusions on eBay.

When I built my MFT I was able to find the extrusions in the lengths I needed on eBay at significantly discounted prices.  That was on the US eBay site but I believe there are also 8020 extrusions on the Canada site.  I'm just not sure about the pricing on the Canada site.

About a year ago I found www.rmmc.net and at their site I clicked on "Contact Us". They responded quickly with information on what 8020 products they had and their prices. They mentioned they will ship via Canada Post if the lengths are under 78".

Recently I found that Acklands Grainger sells some 8020 items.

I haven't ordered from either source as I have been busy with other projects and am still wrapping my head around how I can use 8020 for jigs and parts for work tables.

It would be really helpful if some of the extrusions could be used with the Festool clamps.

The festool clamps will fit an 8020 extrusion if you are willing to just spend a little time filing the clamp and then touching it up with silver spray paint. Worked perfectly for me.

If you contact 8020, they will send you their mind boggling catalog and will refer you to their closest distributor.  I buy from Ebay as it is easier, is direct from them, and I haven't needed anything longer the 96", the max for UPS.  Their service on Ebay is great!  Also the Festool clamps work with without modification in the 15 (1.5") and 40 (metric) series extrusions.  They also send out an  "Idea Book" with examples of projects people have made in every order.

Thanks for your help.

In Canada for some reason we cannot buy 8020 from Ebay or Amazon.

I see Acklands has it but the prices are sky high.

I will try the other sites suggested. Thanks again!

That is very strange.  I went to the www.ebay.ca site, did a search for 8020, and came up with lots of options.

Hi. There is not much on Ebay that actually ships from within Canada, but I did buy a piece from this seller, he even cut it for me no charge and the cut was very accurate and smooth. His shipping was a bit slow as was his communication before I purchased, but I did get it. Not sure on pricing, as there is not a dealer in my city besides Acklands and their prices even with our company discount were very high.

The site I gave you the link actually has prices listed in CDN. I was talking to my rep today and she said she didn't know of anybody out your way selling 80/20. She says they ship it all the time just as long as your not looking for the 12' lengths its quite reasonable to ship. I don't think you will find a much better price this side of the border. For pricing if you go to the 80/20 site and download their catalog it gives you the prices for material, assembly parts and machining costs. Its what I pay in CDN from CPI.
