Help, I may have a problem houston.  First festool purchase yesterday was the ct33e & domino.  I also got the upright handle for the 33e.  I removed the handle from the box and I did not notice that the printed diagram sheet was loose in the box and fell out and under my table saw.  Miffed (mistakenly) that no instructions came with the handle, I looked at it and the parts and it was quiet obious where things went and put it on.  Here is the problem The handle was missing a part!  the lower bracket that attaches to the bottom of the vac was fine.  The upper black bracket was missing. I know now because I found the parts list.  I put the bolts on the bottom no problem. Wen I attached the upperer white clips (that would have been coverd by the black missing part, the inside bolt pierced the outside wall of the shop vac.  I found this out when I tried to attach the cord holder bracket and noticed there was no bolt hole.  I scratched my head for a long time and then looked all over to discover the parts list paper sticking out from under the TS.  Seeing the missing part on the diagram, I took off the handle and was going to just return it to rockler for a replacement when I saw the bolt had pierced the outer hull.  Freaking out and using a lot of explatives, I opened the vac and noticed that it appears to be double walled and the interior was not harmed.  Have I compromised this new vac? If so, how can I find out how to get the part replaced.  What a bummer of a start to what was to be a great day with the new domino!

Didn't you buy this from Bob?  Suggest you email or call him to discuss the situation.

Bought it locally from Rockler.  I'm going to give them a call on Monay and see what they say.

Called service this morning and they were great!  I explained the situation and he offered to either have me send it, or he could send me the case piece and I could replace.  He apologized for the missing part on the handle.  He is sending the two parts out to me today, and he gave the the detail instructions to replace it.  Great Service!!!!!! :D :D :D

Just what we have come to expect. Please try to remember this when buying further woodworking tools. Festool may be expensive but they do what they say on the box.....well! And when there's a blip in their system they are first to hold up their hands and apologise. (Something I could learn from maybe)
