Hi all,

I love my Festool, but sometimes I just gotta make do with what I've already got.  I've 3d printed some adaptors for my cheap Makita jigsaw to use with the rail and CT36 for finishing plunge cuts from my TS55.

I've published the design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3558170

Hope it helps someone else in need oneday!

Nice. How sturdy is it. Which material (plastic) did you use for printing?

Pretty darn sturdy.  I printed with PLA and not problems whatsoever.  For other things that get more load and stress I tend to use PETG but this part has very little loads on it.  If you want to make it sturdier, you can always print with more perimeters.

Nice. I really oughta learn Fusion 360. .on the todo list. How hard would it be to design one of these to adapt the MFK700 to guide rail use?

Not too hard.  What took the time was fettling the clearances for the festool rail so that it would slide smoothly.    I'd guess maybe about an hour of design work in fusion if you were to build on the existing rail profile.  It usually takes me two prototypes of fettling to get the final in the third.
