makita/non festool cordless tools in sys system?

put my lxt combo in a sys 1 and 2 ( with attic lid ) using 10mm ethafoam in layers , its not the finished article yet but pretty close

Here's another good use of a systainer. This time for my holesaws.

I thought I would add some pictures of what I did for my Milwaulkee. It is in a Sys IV, top shelf has impact and drill plus spare battery and commonly used bits. Below is Charger and containers with drill bits and hole saws

I use the Festool Sortainer SYS 3-SORT/4 for storing a T15+3 and a TI 15 Impact drill.
With the help of a Tanos divider the bottom drawer also stores 2 batteries and 4 Centrotec FastFix heads.
To protect the drills in the bottom drawer it's covered with Black Cat Anti-Slip and protection mat.
The 3 top drawers store some drills, bits and other stuff for the drills.

Has anyone used these in the trunk of a ridgeline? I bought a husky roll around chest, and large mouth tool bag to hold alot of my stuff...

here a picture

I am in the process of putting all of my tools in sys 3 midis. I don't have any festool tools yet. [embarassed]

A dewalt hammer drill that I use for mixing mud and paint. I hade to cut the shaft on the paint and mud mixing paddles to fit the sys 3 midi. Also have a makita drywall gun in there. I even got one for my air hoses, extension cords, caulking and adheshives.

Recently treated myself to two Systainers for storage.

Here is a photo of my 14.4v Panasonic cordless drill and Impact Driver together with batteries in a Systainer 2.

Hi Andrew,
Looks nice. Now the only thing you need is a proper brand label.
Look at my other posts for the labels I can make.

I keep my Milwaukee M18 tools in a Tanos midi III; 4 batteries, Milwaukee circular driver bit set, drill, impact driver, 3/8" socket driver, and grinder with xtra wheels.  I keep a M12 metal cutting saw in a SYS IV
I also use Milwaukee M12v; keep the drill, impacrt driver, socket driver and 5 batteries, another bit set in one SYSI.
I keep the M12 roto tool, recip saw and multi tool in another.  I use bottom padding only as these are tools I use daily in commercial automatic door work,  (these are tools, not precious jewels).
Below these I use a 6 drawer sortainer to deep extra bits, various bit holders, hole saw bits, countersinks etc. (it is amazing how many small parts these hold).  As a side I use drawer drawer liner material ( also sold as non slip router pads at inflated prices) to line the drawer bottoms.  The partitions push this material down nicely to allow the drawers to close but still reduce the rattle factor.

Hey rst,

Any advice on the M12 stuff?  [unsure]

I'm thinking of giving away my little bosch impact and cordless dremel and adding the Milw. to my cordless gear.

I'd like the Impact of coarse but also the rotary tool, Hackzall, ratchet and LED light.

I tried to make make the festool system work for my carpentry and makita tools, but failed. I made a case for the carpentry stuff that would fit into a sys4. Pull the case out and it had drawers exposing tools. It worked okay for a while, but I wanted everything to be quicker to get to. I did the same for my makita drill/driver and PPE. Had them in a sys 3 and it worked okay, but I'd have to get them in just right and the hammer drill wouldn't fit unless I took off the battery.
Finally I just put all these things in a Veto XXL-OT. Makita light, drill, impact driver on one side, hammer and assorted carpentry tools on the other. Heavy, but it works better for me.

I switched over to some of the M12 tools about a year ago and love them. The impact driver and multitool I use just about everyday with no complaints. I also have the radio, palm nailer, roto tool and one of the heated sweatshirts. For batteries I have three of the 1.5 amp hr and one of the 4 amp hr. The smaller ones work fine for most tasks as long as you always have an extra one on charge, for instance the radio will run for most of a day on a full charge. Using the 4 amp hr in the multi tool is wonderful! It works so well I took my corded one out of my van.

Wow Thx. Bike,

I'm gonna see if I can corner the Milw. rep for our area and hit him up for a deal.  I do a lot of hardware and I'm tired of the dremel being a stand alone tool and a dedicated charger.

How is the heated hoody?

I like it...it does have it's limitations though.

On a windy day I usually wear a jacket or second hoody over it otherwise the wind blows right through it and the heat is lost.

I do like that it has multiple heat settings, I usually start with it on high in the morning and gradually click it lower and I get going. I usually will get most of a day on one charge.
