Makita Plunge Saw

not a bad price either!

The Makita and the TS55 are within $100 of each other:
Makita = $355 USD.
Festool TS55 = $440 USD.

The question here will be whether the Makita can match the advances Festool has made in dust collection, accuracy, and general engineering.  My experience with Makita tools has been mixed -- some good (cordless drill) and some really bad (belt sander).

OK, I'm sorry my obsessive side is acting up here, but Dan, could you please add an "a" onto the discussion title?

Thanks,
Matthew

Ohh, now I get it. For a second there, I thought you might have been Canadian, "Makita Plunge Saw, a"

Wouldn't that be: "Makita Plunge Saw, eh"?  Phonetic spelling, I guess.
