Makita saw on Festool ug stand

I have the Festool kapex saw with the ug stand. The job I’m on at the moment has no power so I have bought a Makita 36v mitre saw. Does any one know if the Makita saw would fit on the Kapex ug brackets. It would save me buying another  saw stand.

You have the stand and the saw. Remove the Kapex and rest the Makita on the brackets to see if they will fit. Considering the Kapex fits on other saw stands I am sure it will bolt up with possibly little modification. You could always use a piece of plywood as an intermediary. The issue is what kind of wings are you going to use and is the deck height the same from the Makita to the Kapex. Fastcap makes a nice set of wings that are height adjustable, and will work on the UG stand and the MFT.

Thanks for the reply, the Kapex at the moment is buried in my garage  [big grin]
I was going to get a pair of the adjustable roller stands if the saw fits..
I’m in the U.K. so Fastcap ones aren’t possible.
