Just a reminder, as you learn to navigate around the Forum, many of the technical threads from the previous version are obsolete. Even the Moderators will be learning to get around, so be patient as experience is gained.

The new site is interesting. Attaching pictures seems easier. HEIC pictures do not fit, too large, no worries.
I like it.

I don't know for sure what the size limits are (I believe there were options when it was set up), but the default max size is 1MB.

Everyone is a “New Member”. Born again.

I was pretty much addicted to the recent post list. Do they still have that. I did a quick look and I didn’t see it. I will check again after dinner.

Up at the top menu bar "What's New" and the down arrow there. When that pulls down there is a Latest Activity choice. Not the same as before but I suspect we'll get used to it.

I created a URL in my browser tool bar for all XenForo-based sites to take me directly to unread posts. This is the URL I use for the FOG:

https://festoolownersgroup.com/whats-new/posts

The software will append a number on the end of the URL that is similar to a time stamp for your specific viewing session. If you click on the "Mark forums read" icon in the upper right corner, any new posts made since you started viewing will not be marked as read. The actual URL will look similar to this and the number will change with each new post session:

https://festoolownersgroup.com/whats-new/posts/120

Thanks for that information.

I find that my images in older threads from the host IMGUR have disappeared. The images using URLs appeared. Is IMGUR incompatible with the new software? If so, what host site would I use?

I understand MikeGE has a lot of experience with XenForo. Maybe he knows. @MikeGE

@Packard Why don’t you try to do a post with your current hosting now. It is possible that it was just that the link format was broken in the translation.

I've never used Imgur for hosting, but will create an account and try with a couple of test images. From what I can see, most of the image sharing functions are available only when logged in to the site. I use Smugmug and Flickr for my image hosting.

Update: It appears the only way for me to create an account with Imgur is to link it to my Apple account, and I'm not going to do that. I can't create an account with an email address and password. Too bad.
