Hi, I own a RO125 sander. Can I use this to polish marble? If so, what abrasives do you recommend? I only have about 10sf.
Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob!  Welcome to the FOG.  Several of our members have had discussions here about using various Rotex sanders to polish marble and other natural stone.  The easiest way to find those threads is to use the search button above and type the words polish marble in the box.  You will find several threads and should be able to weigh the experiences of several members.  I did check to make sure you would get some results.

I am sure others will jump in here, but that should get you a start.

The new Diamant pads that will be available in May '13 work well.  I used P500-P4000 on Onyx on a recent project and it works well and fast.  I got the pads from a mole in the UK (thanks, mole!)  You probably could do the same with Platin pads which are currently available.  Diamant pads have industrial diamonds in the pad.  Keep the surface wet (not splashy wet) and it works very quickly.  For what you are doing, the higher grits might be best to simply bring back the polish.  P500 could have you dishing if the marble is very soft.
