Thanks for the link. I agree with Marc that my primary interest is in woodworking and while this site and Festool in general has helped my woodworking with great advances in tool development (like the Domino Joiner) I still use the most appropriate tool for the job regardless of tool color.  I'm glad that Marc chose to stick with the Festool Core of exceptional tools.

Marc's views on what tools to use have always been to use the right tool for the job. I think his videos on some of the Festools are very useful and informative, but he has never used Festool tools exclusively. I have a number and, as blasphemous as this sounds, I have found that, other than the sanders, the TS55, MFT, the vans, and the Dominos, there are definitely other tools that do the job just as well (or sometimes better). So, Marc's site is still an amazing place to get information, just as is the FOG. You just need to pick and choose the information you use, just as you need to pick and choose the tools you use.
