How do you adjust the depth of the saw?  I did not see a mechanism to plunge the saw.

I didn't mount the accesories from the Festool CMS System. I use the same stuff like Festool for the depth adjustement.

I´m planing to make my own inserts plates for different tools and brands when I´ve done the CNC conversion with my mill.

Very nice.  I've been planning to use struts for my cast iron router table which will be mounted to one end of the MFT cart I am building.

Where did you get the u-profiles for the struts?  Where did you get the struts?  I have seen some on eBay but there are lots of choices.  What brand and model number did you use?

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean with struts? Do you mean the gas springs or the u profile on the piston rod? To find out the right length, force, angle and place of mounting the gas springs I had to buy several springs till I was satisfied. You have to find out by yourself which one fits good for case. If you have the right spring you probably first have to change the plastic joints on the ends to metal joints. Then you measure the diameter of the piston rod and take a u-profile which is slightly wider than the rod. Then you narrow the profile at the ends with pliers so that the profile is clamping on the rod when you push it on.

Forgive what I feel is a silly (lazy?) question, but what did you use for the rail stock, and for connecting it (butt joints esp.)

    I'm a union architectural trim carpenter in Chicago, IL. Both commercial and residential sub contractors are really behind the curve in compact/multi-use portable work stations. Job schedules and trades installation dates require us to move shop with limited space on site, sometimes weekly.  This system and others like it can be a major selling point to Millwork outfits in my field.  Aluminum frames make product light, durable, and adjustable with hardware that can simply be tightened, without the headache of unusable/  blown-out anchor points in similar wood designs.  Please find a way to package this design/blueprint for sale to streamline the field installation industry.

This is built with T-slot aluminum extrusions. It's pretty much designed for easy butt connections.

The beauty of the system is that the slot allows unlimited positioning of a fastener.
The head of the fastener is captured by the slot so the threaded part protrudes.
Typically fasteners are round or button socket head cap screws because the driver requires the smallest diameter hole be drilled through the extrusion at the desired location for the fastener.

The end view of a typical extrusion shows an X shape with a hole in the center.
The hole is sized to be tapped for the fastener appropriate for that size extrusion.
In this case 5/16"-18 tpi.

8020 sells aluminum extrusions similar to these in imperial and metric versions.  They sell enough accessories that you can build practically anything you can imagine...actually that is one of their marketing phrases... "The Imagination Store"  I purchase mine on E-bay but they have industrial suppliers across the states.  If you contact them, they will refer you to the one closest to you.  When I buy on E-bay from them they send one of the small project example booklets that illustrate what customers have built.  These books are great inspiration and creative motivators.  You can also find them on Facebook, where they also show examples of builds.
 
Hi I am so impressed with your idea. So I have gone ahead and started to build my own,with some question need to ask re:- what runner and wood you have used and from which company. Same for how did you build the router table and any more details on your drill how to fix and move back and forward please advice.

Yes you can use a Festool Clamp , and I have Festool Dog on the front legs to hold work piece vertical .  will be setting this up and showing very soon.  Its been lot of work getting this done with my shop in bits and no space..  but I am getting there..

its 10mm Profile for Festool Clamps.
