Master Closet & Other Misc Pics

Nice work!!! Love the simple detail on the inset panels and doors on the vanity. Island looks great.
Was wondering what the opening was for under the drawers in the island?
Closets can be fun but not if they are rushed!!!!

Bob,

The closet looks outstanding!

I have one coming up and was wondering if you could answer me a few questions;

How do handle the angled shelves for the shoes?  Is it just a regular shelf with the shelf pins set at different heights?

Also,

We're your cabinet boxes painted on site?  If so what material did you use?

Thanks again for your great work!

Hey Brice!  Sorry I didn't see this sooner!  Thank you for the kind words!

To answer your questions, yes the shoe shelves are simply just angled by setting the pins at offset heights. If they're offset too much they can become tippy depending on how far back your front pin holes are. You can also use the metal 5mm pins that have a hole in the bottom and screw the pin to the shelf to fix it and it'll never move!

Nothing was prefinished, the cabinets were all painted on site by the designers painter. The materials were all paint grade, the plywood was a birch "cabinet/paint" grade.

Hope this helps in your plans for your project!  I look forward to seeing photos of yours!

Woah.  Double B,

That's amazing!  I love the panels around the passage door. Big time.
That's craftsmanship and that's the goal.  Recognize what needs to be done, develop a solution, and execute.
I'll be dead before I get there but it's something to aspire to.

As you can see from my dining room I like paneled walls.  Stating the obvious.... not my work.

Very lovely work, a nice combination of classic and modern design.  I cannot imagine being able to put on the finish and 56 hours let alone build the thing.

I'm glad someone posted and brought this thread to life again......

Builderbob, all I can say is AWESOME work!!!  Amazing work within an amazing short  timeframe!!!  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys for all the great comments!  @Tee, I'm not sure if I have any pics through the process of the builds. I actually processed all of the sheet goods at my shop (2 car garage is what my wife insists on calling it). I delivered all of the parts to the job, huffed them all up to the 2nd floor and installed inside of the closet. The doorways weren't large enough to get everything through all built. I'll dig and see what I have later on tonight!

love it! how much do you charge for something like this just the closet.
