Maybe the next contest can be "How to"

I would love to see more content on "How to". It was a big deal when I learned How To use the MFT to square of a piece of material and then flip it end to end to get perfectly square panel.

This was a BIG ah-ha moment and has made the enjoyment and usefulness of the MFT soaring through the roof, for me. Same thing when I figured out  that you do NOT need to center a Domino. Or how the turret worked on the routers.

I'am sure there are tons of tips, tricks and How to's that can be shared. I would like to discover a few more.

So maybe the next contest can be How to's instead of reviews.

i would like to this too. this could be more usefull than the tool reviews

I agree also; little tips that can mean a great deal to someone still learning  [embarassed].

I would like to see something like this too....and actually it could be on how to build a project using Festool or only Festool (except for jointing and planing wood).  I loved Kreg's video series on the built-in project and I have been toying with an idea on a new project too, documenting the steps along the way.  I like the random draw concept and not basing it on overall "quality" of the video or written article, since this is subjective and would prevent many users from trying, but something that might be fun and inspire some creativity.

Would you happen to have a link or describe the process?  Sounds interesting!  Thanks!

John had a lot of similar type info on his site

Thanks Shane, I appreciate your are paying for the prizes. I forwarded your post to HR.  [smile]

OK, so maybe the next contest should be to write a business case to support Shane getting a raise to pay for these contests or a dedicated prize budget. [2cents][2cents][2cents]

After that, I would like to pile on and say I would like to see projects using Festools. Possibly even with videos of techniques used or pictures of the techniques. This would further demonstrate the value of Festools through concrete examples.

Geez, Greg... I'm going to be paying for all these prizes out of my paycheck for months and you're already talking about the "next contest".  [poke]

I told Shane it would have been so much simpler if he took me up on my offer, I submit reviews, he "randomly" picks me for both written and video contests, in return I cancel my RO90/Workcenter order with Bob and we split the savings.  He didn't go for it, something about that wouldn't be fair blah,blah...  Ha, I got the last laugh. [big grin]

Hang in there buddy, it'll probably only take three, four months tops, to pay off all those Sys 5 sized T-Locs....

Hey, Greg, I like your idea for a next contest.  I'm just sorry your idea didn't go over any better here.  [tongue]  [wink] [smile]
