Great idea! Next up a jigsaw version? A TS55 version might be overdoing it a bit.  ;D

I image that the inside of the systainer will get very dusty, very soon. Perhaps you could put the router in a Sys3, with a hole in it for the DC. Add an extension on top for the fence as you did, and a Sys1 for the accessories. Total height would be the same.

What did you use for the height adjustment? And how did you mount the table extension wings?

A jigsaw version is a great idea and one that is now on my radar srcreen.  I might even attempt to build such a thing this year.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Jigsaw - is in progress - TS55 - I belive the worktable will be to small.

Dust
as you see on the picture from the inside - dust is not a problem inside the SYS4,  it's solved with small plexi plates(se picture below), as you see on the pictures -the dust you see inside, are after five hours of working - so I belive is not a problem.

And the current system seem to solve the dust problem in you work area. And anyway the SYS4 is very easy to clean.

I have used a SYS4 because the SYS3 was to low (we talk about 4" lower). And I also need some space to my lifting system.

The lift is done this way

Remove the bolt - the stop the OF1010 to go to high.

[attachthumb=2]

And then I have replaced it with a 6 mm lang screw.

And then I have put a Aluminum pipe of 10 mm and the top
[attachthumb=6]

And finally a knob from Festool
[attachthumb=7]

[attachthumb=8]

A standard 6 mm screw goes up with 1 mm for each turn.
So it end with a system, where I make one turn for each 1 mm I want to raise the router. - And ofcause a half turn gives 0,5 mm  - so it is very presic.

Fasten of extentions table
This do with a Festool 6x10M screw - I will post a picture later

Per, because I am very interested in building somethjing like this for a router and/or for a jigsaw, I took the liberty of taking your post and put the content into a PDF file.  When viewing the file on a computer, it is possible to expand or contract the pictures to obtain the desired amount of detail.

Would you like me to send you the PDF file?

Do you mind if I share the file with others -giving you credit for the content, of course.

Frank,
it always nice when people like you ideas - so be my guest.
I it's okay with me - that you share this PDF with others.

I can send you the images in a highere resolution if need.

I can make a  partlist of what I have used
and a drawing with dimensions.

Just to point out - I made my first model without the power in SYS4 - because  I wanted to 100% sure of everything before I made the holes in the box.

/Per - Looking forward to see you PDF in my mail.

Per,

I really, really like your idea and will likely build something like that in the future.
I've one remark though, concerning safety.
If I build a 'router-table' like this I will include a safety switch, in stead of an ordinary on/off switch.
The safety switch won't let your router start when someone tripped the wire out of its socket.

Thank you for sharing the idea.

Karel

Thanks

About the safety switch, you are rigth.

I work on a solutions  with a replacement of the  switch with two push buttom and a relay - But I want something small - the not will stick out more than the on/off switch.
